So just how many wedding invitations do you send when getting married abroad?

From our latest poll nearly two thirds of you will be inviting 20+ guests to your big day, with just 25% opting for a smaller gathering of less than 10 friends and family.

The editor wasn’t sure whether or not to be surprised by the figures.

With many opting for an overseas wedding because of rising costs in the UK, making sure those near and dear are present to share the experience, means money saved is being spent elsewhere, so it will be a day to remember.

With so many all flying out, logistics with transport, rooms and any special requirements need careful planning and working with the wedding co-ordinator is a must so all those special guests are well catered for and looked after.

So whether large or small, from all of here at TLC UK, we hope your wedding exceeds your expectations.

Thinking about getting married abroad? You’re not alone!

Many newspaper pages are currently devoting headlines to statistics such as ‘More than a third of couples have booked a wedding abroad - a 15 per cent hike compared to figures for previous years.’

There is a simple, if not welcome reason for this. Statistics show that the average cost of a UK wedding has soared in recent years and is now close to hitting the £20K mark. This, together with the rising cost of living and pay freezes, means that engaged couples are looking further afield for wedding venues.

The cost savings of getting married abroad are significant; depending on your destination you can save as much as 50% in comparison to a UK based wedding. In these tough economic times, the maths is simple and the benefits of getting married abroad seem to add up too (being able to invite who you want, already being in your honeymoon destination, good weather…).

So, if like many other couples you are looking to get married abroad, don’t hesitate to get in touch with TLC UK . They have a dedicated team of experienced translators that can help you with the translation and legalisation of the documents you need for getting married abroad. They can also do the leg work for you by personally attending the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and any required embassy on your behalf!

Today is Andalusia’s day!

Did you know that today is Andalusia’s day? Andalusia (in Spanish, Andalucía) is a wonderful region in the south of Spain. It is also a very popular destination to get married in, with breath-taking landscapes, lovely weather all-year-round and a very warming population.

Two of our TLC UK team members come from the town of Almería. As an image is worth a million words, here’s the best way to describe it. Enjoy it. Happy day of Andalusia!
